The Scandinavian Institute Presents
We are thrilled to invite you to the opening of Autonomics, the Scandinavian Institute’s first pop-up show in the Nordic region. The Scandinavian Institute is a self-funded art space based in Chinatown, New York.
The title “Autonomics” points to the Scandinavian history of autonomous living zones such as Christiania and Drakabygget – born out of radical art ideals and implemented in real life. The title at the same time hints at very new autonomic computing technologies already influencing both art and politics. The show is a celebration of arts ability to create pockets of temporary utopias and offers a sensual critique of a networked world.
In the spirit of autonomy this is a one night only event:
